Mud on the Tires.

Needless to say,
my birthday weekend was a great success
I am so blessed!
It started off with a delish meal at SATCO
and I picked up my friend Christian from Belmont
who I have not seen since graduation
and the food was to die for
love me some tex-mex
then off to Sweet Cici's for a treat
yums.
the night continued and another friend from high school came down to visit
Saturday, we headed to Bread & Co for an amazing lunch
chicken salad - omg.
then downtown for a little boot browsing.
and back to get ready for the Jerrod Neimann, Darius Rucker, Brad Paisley concert
We traveled to Cristine's house where her mother made an amazing home-cooked meal
she even had Chi O colored flowers!

my delish cake from Whole Foods!

my sweet girls
every one of them is a blessing.
and of course the main event....
the concert.
Oh.my.gosh.
Literally all I could've hoped for and more!
we had a bird's eye view
but we rocked it in the top.
such a fun weekend
I am exhausted
and not ready for another week of school
but I'm going home on friday and so very excited about that
a little belated birthday celebration is in store with some of my best friends from high school.

Jesus Calling.

I have a little devotional book called "Jesus Calling"
if you don't have it... get it.
I can't tell you how many times I've been blessed by it
like this morning for example
I woke up an hour before my alarm
and spent some quiet time with God
and here's what I read:

February 18th
I AM WITH YOU. These four words are like a safety net, protecting you
from falling into despair. Because you are humans, you will always have up and downs in your
life experience. But the promise of My presence limits how far down you can go. Sometimes
you may feel as if you are in a free fall, when people or things
you had counted on let you down. Yet as soon as you remember that I am with you, your perspective
changes radically. Instead of bemoaning your circumstances, you can look to Me for help.
You recall that not only am I with you, I am holding you by your right hand. I guide you with
My counsel, and afterward I will take you into Glory. This is exactly
the perspective you need: the reassurance of My Presence, and the glorious hope of heaven.

Powerful words.
I needed to hear that so badly this morning
If our God is for us then who could be against us?
A thing I need to be reminded of frequently.
If you didn't notice the author-- Sarah Young-- writes as if God is speaking to us, His children
It's all the more powerful that way.
I hope you have a blessed friday.

Sunshine.

OH how I love this fab. weather
Literally makes me want to go run in the Quad.
Obvs I would look real weird
but Hannah and I did go on a "power walk"
and a little power shopping as well
I bought this necklace at a cute boutique here in town
I saw it yesterday with Lauren and could not stop thinking about it.
Excuse my white v-neck
It doesn't quite go with the outfit.
butttt it's presh
and looks almost like the Stormy Seas necklace I'm dying for from Anthro
so I'm a happy little camper.
the windows open. the birds are chirping. the weather is BEAUTIFUL
literally can't stay cooped up anymore.
