I cannot believe it's almost October but PTL because that means fall break.

Here's what I'm loving lately

I'm loving the beautiful fall weather. 

I'm loving the fact that the Carrie Underwood/Hunter Hayes concert was ahhhmazing plus Brad Paisley showed up for a surprise visit.

I'm loving my Starbucks gold card--finally.

I'm loving my new drink at Starbucks for a quick pick-me-up.

AKA the John Wayne-- it's a shot of espresso/vanilla/other good things that comes in a tiny baby cup. 

It's hot and cold at the same time and amazing. TRY IT

I'm loving that everything now comes in 'pumpkin' flavor. It's fall ya'll.

I'm loving when my friends send me funny pictures.

I'm loving football season.

1. What is something you have wanted to do but were afraid of? 
Apply for an internship in NYC and see what happens.
I would love to live there but I'm not sure I could do it.

2. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Hopefully working in PR, living in Nashville or Birmingham, married and livin' the dream.

3. What are you looking forward to before the end of 2012?
Fall! The elections, Thanksgiving, Halloween, Haunted Houses/Hayrides, Christmas, Going home and being with my family, CONCERTS (Carrie Underwood/Hunter Hayes TONIGHT and Eric Church in October)

4.What are your hopes for your blog?
That ya'll enjoy reading it and want to come here and check in. I love the idea of meeting people through blogging and I would love to get to know some of ya'll! I think that's important--making relationships and connections through something we all enjoy obviously.

5. Do you see yourself living in your current town/city?
HECK to the NO.
I am not living in Jackson, TN when I get done with college.
After I graduate, peace out.
You can tell I love Jackson ha.

6. What is your morning routine?
Depends on whether I have an 8 am or 9 am class but
let's say 9 am since that's most days.
7:40 Wake up, get ready, eat breakfast, MAKE COFFEE
9:00 Class
10:00 Chapel
11:00 Class

I Believe In...

Hey ya'll!

Erin over at Living in Yellow is having a link-up and this girl is joining in.

It's about we believe in--get ready 'cause I'm about to tell ya.

I believe in God.

I believe in laughter...the kind that comes straight from your stomach and makes you cry sometimes.

That kind.

I believe in yoga pants....every day.

I believe that eating an apple a day keeps the doctor away. Alright, maybe that's a myth but I love me some apples.

I believe in silly things...and watching your favorite trash reality TV show.

Blog Hiatus.

Wow, I am not even sure where to start.

Well, let's just say that Recruitment got the best of me in every way.

I was in charge of one of our nights and I was on-the-go 24/7.

Ladies, if you have been/are in a sorority--you know what I'm talking about.

Anyway, now that my life is back to normal 

annnnnnd now that we have some awesome new little ones.

I can now blog on a regular basis without disappearing. 

I'll start with what's been going on recently...

I baked these to.die.for brownie/cookie/oreo bars for a fraternity on campus.

Oh my gosh.

I got the recipe from Pinterest HERE.

Basically all you do is start with a muffin tin and fill the tin with cookie dough first, then an oreo (or Reese cup) then brownie batter and bake.

Holy deliciousness. 

Also, can we talk about this for a second::

I try not to but it's hard to look away sometimes.

I mean, is that even real life?!

Tray DIY

Okay, I am finally posting about the tray. 

Remember when I showed ya'll this::

Well I decided to make my own and it was so easy ya'll.

Disclaimer:: Mine does not look exactly like this because dumb me bought the wrong type of tray at Hob Lob.

And I didn't want to drive another 25 minutes for a $2 tray ha. 

So here is my finished product!

This picture doesn't do it justice...I chose a more metallic spray paint than a straight gold.

Annnd I know mine isn't as cute as the Pinterest one...but I feel like Pinterest just isn't realistic sometimes bahah. Or maybe I just am not a master crafter.

Anyway, if ya'll want to make your own here's what ya need::

A tray from Hobby Lobby (or a craft store) --I chose the smallest one and had a 40% off coupon from Hobby Lobby so I think my tray was a little over $2

Gold Spray Paint -- I used Krylon Brushed Metallic in Satin Champagne

A monogram via GS Monograms -- I used the 3 inch monogram.

That's it!

I took the tray outside and put it on some newspaper.

I sprayed at least 6 coats on in a sweeping motion.

I did each side separately and then the top.

I let it dry overnight and then applied the monogram.

All in all, I think I spent like maybe 8 dollars. 

What a great gift for someone!

I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out.
